Info
A poetic and magnificent installation of ceramic and sound sculptures, created specifically for DOKK1. The installation consists of monumental sculptures that combine visual and auditory elements. The sculptures take the form of towers, reaching a height of approximately 260 centimeters with a diameter of about 50 centimeters. They are constructed from ceramic circles cast from liquid clay poured into painted plaster molds. Sound plays a central role in the work, as each sculpture has its own electronic voice, created from manipulated recordings of vocals.
Together, the sculptures perform an electronic choral piece – a kind of static concert where form and sound mirror each other. The design and internal resonance chambers of the sculptures are carefully calibrated. The work explores the interplay between sound and form, both sculpturally and as an installation, investigating resonance spaces in ceramics combined with electronic composition.
