1000 Scores

SPOR festival is the only Danish partner in 1000 Scores. Pieces for Here, Now & Later which is an online performance space that presents new scores from various artists on the website www.1000scores.com. Each score is an instructional art piece for one person, commissioned by the project, in collaboration between partner institutions and the artistic team. New scores are published regularly on the website and spread into the world through social media channels and newsletters. The project is initiated by writer, director, and co-founder of Rimini Protocol Helgard Haug (DE), composer and performance artist David Helbich (BG), and dramaturge and writer Cornelius Puscke (DE).

Here we will publish the works commissioned by SPOR festival as they are published by 1000 Scores.

The project is supported by European Region of Culture, The Agency for Culture and Palaces,
Aarhus City Council, and Central Denmark Region
“1000 Scores. Pieces for Here, Now & Later” is a production by Rimini Apparat, coproduced by PACT Zollverein, Tanz im August / HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Goethe Institut / Federal Foreign Office of Germany and KANAL – Centre Pompidou.

Some of them welcome you and are easy to slide through.
Some are hard and resists your handshake.“

The piece can be performed by any number of people of all ages, alone or by up to 20 performers.

This score is a board-game, where the players are the performers. It can be performed anywhere for as long as the player(s) like, the only requirement is a dice. Please read this score as a board game and interpret the symbols freely. There are no specific rules, the core of the piece that each player interpret the symbols and the board, the way they desire. It is not possible to win this game.

Jeppe Ernst: “In Paradisum (24 Private Songs)”

In Paradisum (24 Private Songs)  is a music-almanac, that stretches over 107 years – from the year 2021 until the year 2128.

The piece is divided into 24 intervals of time, defined as “Private Songs”. The intervals of time should be experienced as musical pieces or as progress for the reader/user of the piece, who is aware of the specific interval of time.

As the title indicates, the songs should be considered a number of reversed doomsday prophecies:
songs in which the individual, independent of the content of the time interval, will experience paradise on earth.

The score was published November 17th 2020.

Marcela Lucatelli: "Wholly, totally, entirely (feeling all right)"

'Do nothing. Or something. Just don’t do what I say.''

Says the incredible and inspiring Marcela Lucatelli, probably in an "inhuman human" voice (as they - JAZZNYT - say about her vocal performance style).

In our latest score the Brazilian composer, vocalist and concept engineer once more challenges the status-quo by addressing containers, the political nature of a score and composition as a disruptive trigger of desire.
